Description
The Abot is a fast-installation tee fitting used in classic sprinkler irrigation systems to quickly mount a sprinkler head on the lateral line. It connects directly onto Neofit (latch-type) couplers in a surface-mounted configuration. Manufactured in 63 mm and 75 mm sizes, the Vispar Abot offers outstanding resistance to corrosion, rot, UV radiation and agricultural chemicals.
Abot
The Abot (also known as sprinkler tee or riser base) is an essential component in above-ground sprinkler irrigation systems. Installed between two Newfit quick-connect couplers, it creates a stable, elevated takeoff point for the sprinkler riser while keeping the entire lateral line fully portable and repositionable across the field.

- Male end – connects to female Neofit coupler or pipe

- Riser outlet (boss) – for attaching the sprinkler riser pipe

- Latch hooks/clips – securely lock the connection under pressure (available in aluminum or polymer)
Applications
The Abot quick-connect tee allows every lateral line (with its wing sprinklers) to remain completely movable. Farmers can easily relocate laterals across the entire field to achieve uniform irrigation coverage without permanent installations.
How It Works
- The female end contains a rubber sealing washer that creates a leak-proof joint when the male coupler is inserted
- The male end is equipped with two strong latch clips (aluminum or polymer) that lock the female coupler firmly in place even under full operating pressure
